Link Centre hosts the 2nd Annual Don’t Be Cruel BBQ Duel on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17, at Fairpark in Tupelo. More than 80 professional BBQ teams will compete for $14,000 in prizes and tv’s BBQ Pitmasters will be filming for their new season. The public events open at 11am on Friday. There will be live entertainment, kids’ activities, and BBQ plates available Friday at 11 and 5:30 and Saturday at 11. You can even be a judge. Vote for your favorite BBQ in the People’s Choice Competition on Saturday. Entertainment includes Bob Ray, Lucky Jefferson, Bonfire Orchestra, Busted Screen Door, Surviving Allison, and Pay-Per-Blues, plus appearances by Atlanta Falcon Reggie Kelly and the Tupelo Hound Dog Dancers.
